Ladies Shooting – Sporting Targets

Following the ladies evening of 20th June 2012 a training need was identified as to the different skill levels of the shooters. To address this we constructed a course analysis evening which took the participants through a common structure of: target pick-up, gun hold and target break points. This approach was practiced and then we moved on to shoot the types of target that the ladies had found difficult on the previous night.

The result of this was the ladies took their new found knowledge to the shooting stands that they had previously shot on the ladies evening and with further help and guidance from their instructors were hitting the targets successfully.

From an instruction point of view it was good to see the smiling faces when success was achieved.

A course review was held at the end of the evening and without exception everyone said they had enjoyed the experience and when are we organising another event. We asked what they would like; chokes, Skeet and DTL seemed to be their main topics of interest.

The next event will be on 18th July 2012
